This week in Year 1 we have enjoyed doing some art work, using sketching pencils to create landscapes.
We began the lesson with a warm up.
We listened to the piece of music ‘Jupiter’ composed by Holst and experimented with lines and colours, creating expressive pieces of work to show our feelings as we listened to the music.
We then had a look at different examples of landscape drawings and had a go at doing out own, using techniques such as cross-hatching, wavy lines, horizontal and vertical lines and shading.
Here are some examples of our beautiful art work!
