It’s been a busy week in EYFS.
We have been enjoying the lovely sunshine and have been making good use of our outside area during Child Initiated Learning.
The Reception children have been learning to both half and double numbers and have had a go at doing this practically using Numicon.
We have also been continuing out learning on mini beasts and leant about the life cycle of a butterfly- some of the children even spotted a caterpillar and a butterfly in
The children enjoyed a lovely Pentecost assembly on Friday led by our new executive head teacher, Mr Keane.
This week the children in Nursery have been recapping things that they have been learning about over this half term, such as number formation, shape, both 2D and 3D, repeating pattern, using scissors safely and ball skills.
We have had lots of fun outside since the weather has been so nice this week. Searching for bugs under mats, creating chicken coops and waiting for the tennis balls to hatch.
The nursery children have also been able to explore the reception construction shed today and have had so much fun.
