Farewell, Year 6!
What an incredible final term it has been for our wonderful Year 6 pupils. As we approach the end of the school year, we have been looking back at everything our oldest students have achieved, and it is safe to say they are finishing their primary school journey on an absolute high!
Here is a look back at some of the fantastic highlights from our final few weeks together:
Celebrating SATs Success
Last week, our Year 6 pupils received their SATs results, and we could not be prouder of them. The children approached these assessments with incredible maturity, focus, and determination. Their fantastic results are a true reflection of the hard work and dedication they have put in throughout the entire year. Congratulations to everyone for their brilliant achievements!
Year 6 Production was anything but 'Grimm'
The absolute showstopper of the term was, without a doubt, our spectacular Year 6 production, Grimm. The children poured weeks of hard work, rehearsal time, and sheer enthusiasm into bringing these classic tales to life. From the outstanding acting and flawless line delivery to the incredible singing and backstage teamwork, every single child played a vital part in making the show a roaring success, as can be seen in the gallary of production photos attrached. The standing ovations were thoroughly deserved!
Sunshine and Fun at Clarence Park
Amidst all the busy rehearsals, we took some well-deserved time out to enjoy a brilliant trip to Clarence Park. It was the perfect opportunity for the year group to relax, play, and make some lasting memories together in the sunshine. Seeing the children laughing, sharing some snacks, and enjoying each other’s company was a wonderful reminder of the strong friendships they have built during their time here.
Sports Day Triumphs
Energy levels may not have been at an all-time high for Sports Day on Thursday after such a gruelling week but Year 6 showed fantastic sportsmanship, cheering on their teammates and giving 100% effort in every single event. Whether they were sprinting for the finish line or participating in the team challenges, their determination and positive attitude were a credit to the school.
Looking Forward: Reflection and Farewells
Behind the scenes, the children have also been working incredibly hard preparing for our End of Year Mass and our upcoming Leavers Assembly. These final events are a beautiful opportunity for us to gather as a community, reflect on the children's spiritual and personal growth, and officially celebrate their transition to secondary school. There have been plenty of songs to learn and memories to gather, and we know these final moments will be incredibly special for students and parents alike.
