Friday 24 April 2026 A wonderful start to the summer term What a fantastic start to the new term we've had! The first two weeks back have been filled with excitement and learning. In English, we've dived into our new topic on non-chronological reports, focusing on sharks. The children have been exploring the unique features of these fascinating creatures and are busy crafting their own informative pieces. It's wonderful to see their creativity and enthusiasm shine through!

Wednesday 22 April 2026 Year 6 put in Olympian Effort! This week, Year 6 had completed their sponsored circuits with our guest athlete, Olympic-medalist Jodie Williams. They completed a variety of exercises intended to warm-up correctly and to keep fit. They had a wonderful assembly after they had finished where Ms Williams told them all about her journey as an athlete, concluding in her bronze medal as part of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland 4x400m relay team.

Friday 27 March 2026 PTA Easter Egg Hunt Our term ended with a fantastic Easter Egg hunt organised by our PTA. Despite the lack of spring sunshine, the atmosphere was full of excitement and laughter as families worked together to find clues and crack the puzzle. The reward at the end—a delicious Easter egg—made the challenge even sweeter!

Friday 27 March 2026 Year 1 get ready for Easter Year 1 have enjoyed preparing for Easter. Oak class were fortunate enough to have some visiting catechists from Loreto College. They prepared the children during Lent and highlighted the true meaning of Easter. We also watched the Year 5 Passion Play in preparation for Holy Week.

Friday 27 March 2026 Year 6 Prepare for Easter This week, Year 6 explored the story of Jesus's betrayal and trial. We read the story to each other, with each pupil having a verse to reflect on and read. Afterwards, we discussed Jesus' trial in more detail, debating whether or not the trial was fair based on the evidence provided by John in his Gospel.
