From Clay Creations to Champion Inspiration in Reception.

This week, Reception learnt that Jesus sent his special friend; the Holy Spirit. One of the ways that God the Holy Spirit let Jesus’ friends know that He was with them, was in the wind. We talked about how we know He is there. Just like the wind we can feel it but we can’t see it. We blew bubbles outside and flew kites we had made to feel the wind.

On monday, the children took part in a fitness session led by Jodie Williams, a professional British sprinter. Jodie guided the children through a range of fun exercises, encouraging them to stay active, try their best, and enjoy moving their bodies. The children showed great enthusiasm, joining in with energy and big smiles.

On Tuesday, the children designed and made their own clay tile. They carefully planned their pattern on paper first, thinking about which shapes and lines they wanted to include. The children then used tools to copy their designs onto the surface. They experimented with pressing, carving and imprinting to recreate the patterns they had drawn.

All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT)

Formed in 2016, as part of the Diocese of Westminster's Academy Strategy, we provide a collaborative structure of school support and innovation for Catholic schools in South West Hertfordshire. Our vision of an 'Outstanding Education for All' comes from this desire to enable all members of school communities to flourish and succeed and to do all that we can to make our schools places where ambition for all is at the heart of everything that we do.
