Learning and Growing Together in Reception

Welcome to Reception!

We are so proud of how brilliantly all our children have settled into school life. Whether they joined us from our Nursery or are completely new to our school family, everyone is already thriving and you are all very welcome.

The children are loving their daily routines, especially enjoying delicious school dinners and having a wonderful time playing games in the KS1 playground at lunchtimes. Outside of the classroom, they have been busy exploring and adventuring in our wonderful outdoor environment, making new friends along the way.

We have officially started our phonics journey! This week, we have been learning the sounds s, a, t, and p. To help support this learning at home, please practise recognising and saying these sounds with your child. You can find an A4 information sheet displayed on our classroom doors—please check it weekly to see the new sounds of the week.

Important Updates

  • Arbor App: We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with Arbor, so please bear with us while we get this sorted.

  • Show and Tell: This exciting activity will start as soon as Tapestry is fully up and running.

Thank you so much for your continued support as we embark on this exciting year together.
