Y6 - Day 4 in Little Canada

Grey skies and rain greeted us this morning but nothing stopped the fun! The children ventured out in their wet weather gear for a variety of activities. In an activity called “Survivor” the children were taught forest school skills such as camp building and how to safely make kindling, using a knife. Between sessions of archery tag and archery the children channelled their inner Robin Hoods. There was also aeroball and orienteering sessions. Despite a huge downpour, the children did their best and made the most of it. Spare socks came in very handy!

The highlight today for most children was the Giant Swing. The team worked together to pull up their friends and by pulling a small rope the swing is released. We have all once again eaten well (hamburgers, cheeseburgers at lunch and chicken meatballs or korma at dinner). It’s lovely to see the children helping themselves to bowls of salad and pieces of fruit as well.

It is now time to pack then we will enjoy a campfire together this evening. Tomorrow, after breakfast we have two further sessions and after lunch we will make our way home. What a wonderful week it’s been!
