Year 1 - Florence Nightingale
Year 1 had a wonderful time taking part in a Florence Nightingale workshop on Thursday. The children learned about how Florence helped soldiers during the Crimean War and why she became known as “The Lady with the Lamp.”
They explored what hospitals were like in the past and compared them to hospitals today. The children especially enjoyed the hands-on activities, including role play and learning how Florence helped to keep patients clean and cared for.
It was a fun and engaging way to learn about an important historical figure, and the children showed great curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the day.
Thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers, the day would not have been possible without your enthusiasm and hard work.
Wishing all our families a fantastic weekend.
