Year 6 put in Olympian Effort!
This week, Year 6 completed their sponsored circuits with our guest athlete, Olympic-medalist Jodie Williams. They completed a variety of exercises intended to warm-up correctly and to keep fit including star jumps, spotty dogs and shoulder taps. They had a wonderful assembly after they had finished where Ms Williams told them all about her journey as an athlete, concluding in her bronze medal as part of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland 4x400m relay team.
Elsewhere in Year 6:
- In English, we have begun reading Louis Sachar's Holes and written letters considering different characters points of view and exploring formality.
- In Maths, we explored some early algebra and linear sequences.
- In RE, we have begun exploring John's writings about what happened after they found the empty tomb.
