Year 6's First Week Back!

Year 6 have had a wonderful first full week back, settling beautifully into their new responsibilities at the top of the school.

The children have been working hard on Place Value in Maths, and in English, they have started exploring the gripping novel Resist, which focuses on the courageous efforts of the Dutch resistance during World War II. Our Geography lessons saw the class developing their map skills by successfully practising four- and six-figure grid references. Science brought a particularly sweet highlight to the week, with the children enjoying a fun, hands-on lesson using Liquorice Allsorts to learn about classification.

Now, excitement is truly building across the classrooms as we eagerly look forward to our residential trip to the Isle of Wight next week—it promises to be a fantastic adventure!
