Year 3 have been exploring the theme of Creation in their RE lessons. Each child reflected on the beauty of the natural world and chose something made by God, such as plants, bees, rivers, oceans, stars or the sun, to inspire their artwork. The children then painted their chosen creation and have contributed to our class RE display. Their work is a wonderful reminder of the richness of God’s world and the importance of caring for it.
In art, Year 3 have also been linking their learning to history. Building on our study of prehistoric life, the children experimented with charcoal to scale up their own cave-style sketches. They used charcoal to outline their work on large sheets of brown paper to give an authentic effect, recreating the look of ancient cave paintings.
Have a lovely weekend!
