Gerry Dolan
Foundation Governor
Gerry was appointed a Foundation Governor in March 2019 by the Westminster Diocese and became Chair of Governors in April 2020. He lives in the parish of St Alban and St. Stephen of which he has been a member since 2018. Gerry is a retired civil servant.

Fr Michael O’Boy
Foundation Governor
Fr Michael joined the governing body in 2020 following his appointment as Parish Priest of St Alban and St Stephen, the catholic parish of which we are a part. Fr Michael has been a priest for over twenty years and during his priesthood has served on several governing bodies. He was born in Camden and raised in Finchley, North London. Before moving to St Albans he was member of staff at Allen Hall, our diocesan seminary for the training of future priests. He has also served in Kentish Town, Westminster Cathedral and Somers Town, as well as the Diocesan Agency for Evangelisation. Before ordination he was a research student, completing his studies in the history of post-Reformation English Catholicism.

Laura Robertson

Laura was first elected as Parent Governor in 2016. Laura has 3 children all of whom are current or former SSAS pupils. Laura has a professional background in Environmental Health and enjoys playing and watching all types of sports with her family and a bit of singing now and then.

Richard was appointed a Co-opted Governor in October 2019. He lives in the parish of St Alban and St Stephen and has children at the school. He is an actuary by profession.

Amanda Macdonald
Parent Governor
Amanda was elected as a Parent Governor by the parents of St. Alban & St. Stephen Catholic Primary School in July 2022. She has lived in the parish of Ss Alban and St. Stephen since 2013 with her husband, Ian. Amanda has one child who is currently a SASS pupil. Amanda works for Tesco, in the central food buying teams.

Petty Lai
Foundation Governor
Petty joined the Governing Board in 2023. She lives in the parish of St Albans and St Stephen, and serves as a Minister of the Word and in the parish choir. Petty has over 20 years of experience in the public sector.

Wilma Mendonca

Wilma was appointed as Associate Governor in 2023. She lives in the parish of St Alban and St Stephen and is a Special Education Needs professional who actively participates in Church and other Charity activities, whilst pursuing her passion of Choral singing.
Tessa Hackett
Staff Governor
Tessa is Head of School at St. Alban & St. Stephen Catholic Primary School. She is a highly experienced school leader and teacher working in the education sector for a number of years across London and Hertfordshire. Tess has worked as a teacher, senior leader and in school improvement roles. She is passionate about providing an inspirational, high-quality curriculum which enables all pupils to excel and to develop a life-long love of learning. Tess lives with her family in St Albans and enjoys being at the heart of the community through her work in school and in her local church.

Charlene Smith
Observer
Charlene is Assistant Head and SENDCO at St Alban and St Stephen Catholic Primary School and Nursery. She is an observer on all governors meetings. She is a highly experienced school teacher and leader, having taught and led Phases for over twenty-five years across all key stages.
