Bastille Day – La Fete Nationale

Salut tout le monde.

Could there be a better day to have ‘Break the Rules Day’ than Bastille Day?

In Year 5 and Year 3, we talked about the significance of 14^th July in the French Revolution, and how we celebrate the birth of the République Française with La Fête Nationale.

We listened to the French National Anthem, La Marseillaise, and discussed what we thought the colours of the Tricolore might symbolise.

Listen out for the Marseillaise and look out for the Tricolore at the Tokyo Olympics, les JO, later this month.
