This week in Year 2 has been filled with exciting learning experiences!
In our Religious Education lessons, we explored the Act of Contrition. The children created beautiful prayer chains and wrote their own personal Act of Contrition prayers, which encouraged them to reflect on their thoughts and feelings.
During our pupil-led Celebration of the Word, we listened to the Gospel of Salt and Light. The children engaged thoughtfully, responding to the message and discussing its significance in their lives.
In English, we focused on writing excellent diary entries inspired by our school book, The Dam. The students practised using time conjunctions, writing in the first person and past tense, and incorporating descriptive adjectives to bring their entries to life. Their creativity truly shone through!
In Maths, we tackled the challenge of adding two-digit numbers, building our confidence and skills in this important area.
Friday was a special day as we celebrated Number Day! Everyone came dressed in non-school uniform with a number theme. The children enjoyed a number hunt and participated in fun quizzes, making learning about numbers even more enjoyable.
Enjoy our photos capturing these wonderful moments!
