Last week, we welcomed parents and pupil faith leaders from St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School as the time came for us to pass on the Jubilee Torch of Hope. The torch has been passed from school to school within the ASCAT family of Catholic schools as a symbol of hope and light in this special Jubilee Year. Our Pupil Chaplaincy Team led an act of worship, and we looked back on the difference we have made to others over the past year. Both schools led the pupils in saying our school prayers, and we enjoyed singing ‘Shine, Jesus, Shine’ together. It was a lovely occasion, where we were able to meet pupils, teachers and parents from another Catholic primary school, make new friends, and celebrate moving forward on our journey together as ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.
