Another very successful Green Day!
In this Jubilee Year of Hope, the late Pope Francis asked that we look after our planet, as outlined in his writing, Laudato si. He instructed everyone to look after God’s creation; we are God’s stewards.
St Alban & St Stephen Catholic School went outside to be with nature for the whole day. All the activities were designed to be creative and eco friendly.
The whole school were mixed into their Saint Houses for the day to complete the activities. The children created leaf rubbing pictures, made bird seed feeders, created memory sticks using wool and natural materials, went pond dipping and painted rocks to enhance our beautiful outdoor space.
We all enjoyed a picnic lunch outside and did not use any electricity all day!
To end our fantastic Green Day, the whole school came together and sung Save Our Planet on the Lower Site – it was a great day!!!
We wish all our pupils and families a happy and restful weekend
