This week the whole school enjoyed their first Catholic Social Teaching Assembly and lesson: Community & Participation.
The core message was “You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than this.” Mark 12:31
The children thought carefully how they could be a good neighbour, not just to those they know and call their friend, but those that are not their friends.
This tied in so well with our R.E. topic this week as we read Psalms from the Bible and reflected on how great God is looking after all the creatures in our amazing world. Elm Class and Oak Class created a collaborative collage to demonstrate how God looks after our world.
Thank you to all those children and parents who have baked cakes and provided sweet treats to sell at the Autumn Fair tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you!
Wishing all our families a very special weekend.
