The children in Year 4 have been finding out all about Electricity in Science. This week, the children were given some wires, batteries, light bulbs, buzzers and motors and were challenged to build working electrical circuits.
The children discovered that the circuits need to be complete in order for the electricity to flow and that the batteries needed to be placed in the holders in the correct direction. It was lovely to see the children working together with their partners to problem solve, showing our school values of ‘unity’ and ‘determination’. We drew diagrams to show some of the different circuits that we built.
Next week, we will be investigating how a switch works in a circuit.
