A beautiful morning dawned after a peaceful first night here in Little Canada. Yes, we must confess there was a great deal of excitement at bedtime and it took a while to settle, but on the whole the children were very good at bedtime. And it was just as well since our first activity this morning was kayaking.
Squeezed into wetsuits and buoyancy aids, armed with paddles, the children made their way to the beach. There the PGL instructors carefully guided the children through the basics of kayaking. Despite the wind making paddling a slight challenge, the children did incredibly well and worked together in small teams which you will see in the photos.
After a well-earned lunch, the children split back into their groups again to pursue a range of challenges – from trapeze, laser tag and yet more climbing. Somehow, a bet was lost and a teacher found himself also climbing upwards in a harness. Enjoy the children’s faces as they see Mr Hegarty braving the heights of the trapeze.
