Year 6 have been completing an Art project focused on making their voices heard. They have learned about drawing techniques such as Chiaroscuro in order to give their drawing a better sense of light and dark and to make them appear more three-dimensional. Our first try was particularly messy, with charcoal ending up on more than just the paper…

After a practice, we completed the real thing with each child choosing a slogan to draw and images to represent their message. As well as charcoal, we used oil pastels to give our final desings some colour.
