Week 3 of Summer 2 has flown by – where are the days going? We’ve had a busy and enriching week, topped off with a wonderful celebration of International Day on Friday.
In addition to our usual learning in English, Maths, RE, History, Art, Music, and PE, we spent some valuable time reflecting on the challenges faced by refugees when moving to a new country. We were privileged to welcome a young man from Ethiopia, who generously shared some of his own experiences. The children listened with great empathy and respect, and we hope they walked away with a renewed sense of gratitude for the blessings in their own lives.
Friday brought a special treat as two former SSAS teachers returned to share their recent experience volunteering at a small school in Tanzania. They expressed heartfelt thanks for the incredible generosity of our parent community, who together raised over £4,000 to support the children at this school.
A huge thank you to all of you – your kindness continues to make a real difference!
