With just one week to go before the end of term, and less than two weeks until Christmas, it’s hard to believe how quickly the days have flown by. The busier we are, the faster time seems to pass, and we have certainly packed a lot into this term!
English has been a real highlight over the past two weeks as the children have loved exploring Michael Morpurgo’s Coming Home. What a beautiful story it is. The children have acted it out, discussed the rich imagery Morpurgo creates with his words, and written their own tales in wonderfully creative and imaginative ways.
Music was such fun yesterday, as always, but this time under the guidance of Mrs Moss. The children created and played their own instruments and even had to recognise familiar tunes performed by their peers. Such a joyful , fun-filled, lively session!
The rest of our school days have been just as full – multiplication and bar graphs in maths, Drumba in PE, painting and sketching in art, and of course continuing our learning about Advent and the wonder and grace of Jesus’ love at this special time of year.
Wishing you all a wonderful last week of term and a joy-filled Christmas season!
