This week has been a wonderful celebration of Mental Health Week, filled with engaging activities.
We kicked off the week with a special assembly that brought everyone together to discuss the importance of mental health. Following the assembly, we had an insightful eSafety lesson where we learned from Smartie the Penguin. His catchy rhyme helped us remember essential online safety tips:
“Before you tap and click,
You need to stop and think,
And TELL someone!”
This simple yet effective message will surely stick with our students as they navigate the digital world.
Our art lesson was a highlight of the week, themed ‘This is my place’. Students created vibrant islands that represented their interests and personalities, from McDonald’s to cats, football, and gaming consoles. It was fantastic to see their creativity shine through, and each piece was a unique reflection of who they are.
In Religious Education, we retold the story of the Baptism of Jesus. Working in groups, students crafted story maps and presented their interpretations to the class.
In English, our focus has been on writing descriptions, particularly of Traction Man. The students have worked diligently, incorporating commas in lists, and the quality of their writing has been exceptional.
Enjoy our photos capturing these memorable moments!
