We began the week by learning about Black History and enjoyed participating in an African dance workshop.

The children planned and led another fantastic Celebration of the Word. The theme was peace. The children chose the story of Abraham to read and the hymn ‘Peace is flowing like a river’. The prayer leaders then dropped a pebble into the water and we all watched the ripples spread out. The prayer leaders explained that this shows how our actions affect others.

Our week ended with an exciting trip out, to visit Verulamium Museum and the Roman Theatre. It was a great way to celebrate all that the children have learnt this half term in their History work and really brought their learning to life. Thank you to the parent helpers who volunteered to come along to support the children.
