This week in Reception has been full of The children began the week by painting wonderful self-portraits, looking closely at their features and choosing colours carefully. They were very proud of their artwork, which will be displayed in the classroom.
We also listened to the story of Noah’s Ark. The children enjoyed retelling the story and then went on a special trail around the playground, searching for hidden pictures of the animals from the ark. There was lots of excitement as they spotted lions, elephants, and many more!
In our outdoor area, the children have been busy washing cars, scrubbing and rinsing carefully, and taking turns riding the bikes. It was a brilliant way to practise sharing and working together.
Finally, we began exploring our huge sandpit. The children loved digging, building, and imagining adventures. What a fantastic week of learning and play!
