As part of our History topic on Ancient Greece, we explored different examples of Greek pottery. We learnt
about various types such as the amphora, hydria, krater and pyxis, and discovered how each one was used. We also studied the decorative styles found on these pots, including meanders (Greek keys), waves and zigzags, which were often used to fill empty spaces and frame scenes. We then tried our hand at recreating traditional Greek designs to decorate our own pots in the ancient style.
