As we approach the half-term break, it’s been a truly wonderful final week for our nursery children — full of excitement, creativity, and meaningful learning. Today, we celebrated with a special assembly that showcased everything the children have been exploring lately.
The theme of the assembly was about the disciples and the Holy Spirit. Our little ones made adorable flame crowns, symbolizing the flames that appeared over the disciples’ heads during Pentecost. It was heart warming to see their enthusiasm as they connected with this important story. To keep the joy flowing, we sang “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” bringing smiles to everyone’s faces as we imagined making the disciples happy after Jesus ascended to God.
The children also demonstrated their growing independence and fine motor skills by showing off their name-writing abilities — a proud moment for both them and us!
We continued to celebrate their artistic talents with beautiful watercolour circle paintings. Inspired by the famous artist Kandinsky, the children also contributed to a collaborative masterpiece, exploring colours and shapes together in true teamwork spirit.
We ended the assembly on a high note, singing “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” It was a perfect, uplifting finale — a gentle reminder of the love and care that surrounds us all.
Thank you to all the parents for your continued support. We are so proud of every child’s progress and can’t wait to see what the next term brings!
Wishing everyone a restful and happy half term!
