Year 6 Mixed Tag Rugby
Last half term, our Year 5 and 6 students took part in a fantastic Tag Rugby event at Old Verulamium’s Rugby Ground. We played an impressive 13 games (yes, 13!), which kept everyone busy and engaged throughout the afternoon.
In total, we scored a magnificent 50 tries across all games — an incredible achievement!
When asked for feedback at the end of the day, the majority of students said they felt more confident playing the sport and were even keen to join a local rugby club — music to the organisers’ ears!
Most importantly, the students represented themselves and the school exceptionally well, both on and off the pitch.
A huge well done to our amazing team for their effort, enthusiasm, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the event.
Table Tennis Tournament at Verulam School
In the last week of the half term, 6 of our Year 6 students took part in the Herts Schools Table Tennis Competition at Verulam School.
It was fantastic to see such a high standard of play from all the schools involved, and our pupils represented the school brilliantly throughout the event. There was great sportsmanship, effort, and enthusiasm on display from start to finish.
Our girls’ team finished in an impressive 5th place, while the boys secured 7th place after some closely contested matches.
Well done to the whole team for their hard work, positive attitude, and team spirit!
