We would like to warmly welcome our Year 5 pupils back to school after the Christmas holidays and wish everyone a very Happy New Year! It has been a joy to see the children return with such positive energy, enthusiasm and readiness to learn. They have settled back into school routines brilliantly and have made a fantastic start to the new term.
In English, Year 5 have launched straight into their learning by exploring Macbeth. The children have shown great interest in Shakespeare’s language, characters and dramatic themes, sharing thoughtful ideas and engaging confidently in class discussions. Their focus and curiosity have been impressive, especially as they tackle this exciting and challenging text.
In RE, pupils have been learning about the links between the Beatitudes and the Ten Commandments. They have been reflecting on how these teachings connect and guide people to live lives of kindness, respect and compassion. The maturity and insight shown in these lessons has been wonderful to see.
