This week, children across the school have been busy fundraising in support of the Bright English Medium School in Tanzania – and Year 3 were no exception! The children jumped at the chance to help raise money for food, classroom supplies and much-needed resources for children just like them.
Rowan Class chose to take on an exciting sponsored obstacle course, which involved a mixture of running, jumping and throwing. The energy and enthusiasm were brilliant, and the children gave it their all!
Meanwhile, Chestnut Class voted for a sponsored run. As they made their way around the school grounds, they stopped at 20 fact stations, learning interesting facts about Tanzania along the way. It was a fantastic way to combine fundraising with learning.
Despite the warm weather, both classes did an excellent job – showing determination, teamwork and truly living out Pope Francis’ mission of being Pilgrims of Hope.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and carers who sponsored their children and supported the SSAS fundraising project! Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated!
