Science – Fire and Fire Safety
This week in Science, we learned about what is needed to make a fire. We found out that fire needs three things: fuel, oxygen, and heat. These three parts make up the fire triangle. If you take one part away, the fire will go out!
We also did an investigation to find out which upholstery fabric (fabric used on furniture) was best at slowing down fire. Some fabrics are treated with fire retardant chemicals to help stop fire from spreading quickly. We tested different materials to see which ones were the safest. It was exciting to see science in action!
