On Tuesday 3rd February, Year 5 finally had the day they had been waiting and preparing for weeks – the Young Voices Concert!
After our morning lessons, we set off to Wembley Arena. Once we were settled in our seats, it was time to rehearse – three hours of singing, dancing and getting every song and action just right. After a well-earned tea break, the arena filled with parents at 7pm, ready to watch the performance.
Year 5 gave it their all, performing everything from pop medleys and disco favourites to lively sea shanties. We were also thrilled to enjoy performances from Ruti Olajugbagbe, winner of The Voice 2018, and Alison Limerick, who treated us to her famous hit “Where Love Lives”.
The children loved every minute – singing their hearts out, full of energy, and behaving beautifully all day. Some have even asked, “Can we do this again next year?” – and that says it all!
