This week in Year 6, the children have continued learning about Mary’s Magnificat in RE. They had the opportunity to listen to different versions of Mary’s song and compare its interpretations. We also looked at different icons of Mary and created our own.
In Computing, we started our new topic of Data. We explored how barcodes are used and learned about the differences between standard barcodes and QR codes. The children went on a QR code scavenger hunt to answer questions about changes in technology, linked to our Science topic of Electricity.
The children have also enjoyed their Drumba sessions in PE this halfterm. Some children have been using what they’ve learned t create their own routines to use alongside their favourite Christmas songs.
