This week in Year 6. the children have been creating watercolour paintings inspired by their Geography topic of Coastlines. In preparation for their final piece they spent lessons practicing sketching the key features we had learned about in our Geography lessons and working with the watercolour paints to experiment with different colour combinations and washes.
Elsewhere this week:
- In Maths, we have been exploring factors and multiples and how we can use our knowledge of these to solve problems.
- In RE, we have analysed the Nicene Creed, with a focus on what it tells us about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as well as how Jesus helped mend the relationships damaged by the Original Sin.
- In Computing, the children have begun to us Logo as an introduction to text-based coding. They tinkered with the program in order to create basic shapes and repeated loops.
